Two research groups funded by the JH AITC are collaborating on a voice AI-powered cognitive screening tool. Built by CareYaya and the Digital Neuropsychology Lab at Mass General / Harvard in collaboration with researchers Shifali Singh, PhD and Vivien C. and CareYaya’s Maggie X. and Gavry Eshet this research effort is exploring how everyday speech patterns may help track brain health. The first phase explores whether short, phone-based voice AI check-ins can help make cognitive screening more accessible, especially for older adults, rural families, and the caregivers who often carry the burden silently.
