The Stakeholder Engagement Core (SEC) will effectively elicit important stakeholder perspectives relevant to the development and integration of AI technology to improve the health and well-being of older adults.


Support for Pilot Awardees


  • Identification of stakeholder engagement needs early during applicant interviews so study plans and budgets can be revised accordingly ​
  • Individual coaching sessions with Stakeholder Engagement Core leaders, available upon request, to discuss your specific stakeholder engagement needs and troubleshoot any issues
  • Targeted feedback from our Stakeholder Council—comprised of 17 older adults, caregivers, and frontline clinical staff—during quarterly council meetings (To present at an upcoming council meeting or for more information about the council, please contact [email protected])
  • Access to the STAR Registry, a database of Iowans over the age of 50 who are interested in volunteering for research studies
  • Specific feedback on study materials (survey instruments, recruitment videos, etc.)
  • Guidance on maintaining continuous engagement and utilizing stakeholder input effectively
