National Dementia Workforce Study Announces Cycle 1 Piot Grant Recipients: Dr. Nancy Shoenborn and Team

Congratulations to Dr. Schoenborn for being awarded a pilot award from the National Dementia Workforce Study (NDWS). NDWS is a new data source supported by the NIA to better understand the dementia workforce nationally. This is the first year this new data has been collected and will be shared. Dr. Schoenborn, along with Dr. Green and Vishal Sekhon (senior biostatistician in COAH), proposed to use this innovative dataset linked to Medicare claims to understand community clinician and practice-related factors associated with polypharmacy and prescribing of potentially inappropriate medications in older adults with dementia.
