Congratulations to Dr. Schoenborn and Dr. Yasar for receiving a one-year $329,747 supplement grant to Dr. Schoenborn’s R01 “Messaging strategies to reduce breast cancer over-screening in older women”.

The supplemental funding will allow the team to expand their innovative work to older women with dementia. They will examine breast cancer screening decision-making among dementia patients and caregivers through a mixed methods approach and stakeholder engagement.
